Salim and Anand met in college and due to their similar tastes became fast friends. Salim was a local guy from Pune, India and Anand was from Kolkata who came to Pune to do his BSc from Fergusson College.

Anand was 20 years old and was average looking Indian guy of 5 FT 8 '' Tall with Wheatish Brown skin., He was from a good family and both his parents were working in reputed companies in Kolkata., He was staying in the college hostel sharing the room with another guy. He was a average student with humble aspirations in life.

Salim was also 20 years old living with his divorced mother Salma in Pune. Long ago his father has left his mother for another woman and his mother had accepted her faith and had devoted her life fully for the upbringing of her only son Salim.

Salma was 45 years and was a housewife. She managed with the Alimony money which her estranged husband used to send her as part of the divorce agreement. She was fair and beautiful with flesh in the right parts of her body. She was a devout lady and spend her time fully in the chores of the house & giving her son all the time and attention so that he does well in his studies.

The vacuum of a man in her life made her feel lonely with no one to love and shares her life. Update-2

Anand's Best friend was Salim and they gelled very well. They used to roam together, on weekends they used to see movies , eat out as the boring food of the hostel was not interesting. Also they used to study together and both had the same aspirations to become independent in life and land up in a good job.

The festival of EID came around and Salim invited Anand to his house for food and celebrations. Anand loved non-vegetarian food and the food in the hostel was average. He missed his home and longed for home made food. This was the first time he had come out from his family and he missed the homely care and homely food.

He dressed in jeans and T-Shirt and mounted on his bike and came to Salim's house. Salim lived in a middle class apartment in Kothrud ( Pune). He rang the door bell and Salma opened the door. Anand fumbled while introducing himself to Salma and Salma welcomed him inside the house. Salma smiled when Anand was introducing himself to her as he stammered and this made Anand feel shy.

Anand was mesmerized by the fragrance of the perfume coming from Salma's bdy.

Once inside the house, Salma asked him to sit on the sofa.

Anand- Good After noon Aunty !! How are u ??
Salma - Good afternoon beta !! I am good. I have heard a lot about you from Salim and he is happy to have a new friend.
Anad- Yes Aunty !! Salim is my best friend and I too am happy to meet him.
Salma- Who all are at your house ?? Where are you from ??
Anand- I am from Delhi. Back at home I have my father, mother and one younger brother.

Saying this she became sad and morose. Slight tears filled up her eyes.
Anand- Whats the matter Aunty. Have I said anything that have hurt you. If so then I am really very sorry.
Salma- Nehi Beta !! Salim has been unlucky that he father is not with him. After his birth, my husband left me for another woman and took Divorce from me, Since them he has never visited us or met us. He just sends money to us every month as per the instructions of our good courts. Thanks to the good law and order system in our country.
Anand- I am so sorry Aunty. Thats why when I had asked him about his father , he had shied away and avoided talking about him with me.
Anand looked at Salma with a sense of pity and felt bad as Anand was an emotional guy.
Anand- You are so good looking Aunty and u speak so well. U have been single handedly raising your son and that makes you a strong woman doing her duties in tough conditions.

Salma liked the compliment from Anand. It has been ages since she had got any compliments from the opposite sex and this sudden burst of fresh air was very refreshing for her. She also felt good for the concern shown by Anand and his compliment for her looks.

Meanwhile Salim had gone out to bring some groceries for the house and he was happy to see Anand and both of them greeted each other and hugged one another. Salma was happy to see her son happy as she had always felt that she could not fully take care of her son as without the love of father, the child's life is empty.

She went to the Kitchen and brought back 2 glasses of Rooh-Afza for the boys.

Anand- Aunty !! Where is your drink. Bring your glass too.

Salma felt very happy for the care shown by Anand. She hesitated a bit but on Anand's insistence she brought her glass and the trio had the refreshing soft drink.

It was time for lunch and Salma served the Chicken Biryani which she had cooked with lots of efforts and she was nervous whether Anand would like the Biryani.

Anand- Aunty !! the aroma of the Biryani is so good. I have never experienced this aroma before in my life. If the aroma is so good then the food would undoubtedly be awesome. I cant wait to dip my hands in the Biryani.

Anand and Salim helped her to lay all the dishes on the dining table. Apart from the Biryani there was mutton kabab, Mutton soup, Daal makhani , salaad etc.

Salma hesitated as Anand was the guest but Anand insisted to help her. Salma was impressed.

Again... Salma brought 2 plates for Anand and her son.
Anand- Aunty !! Where is your plate. Aren't you hungry. How can you resist this aroma of Biryani.4
Salma - No Beta !! you both have food. I will have later.
Anand - No..no..no !! I insist you to have food with us. I will feel bad if you dont. Its my request.

Salma felt nice. It has been ages since someone showed any kind of care for her. In all these years after her husband dumped her, no one cared whether she lived or died, ate or not etc. She liked the care and insistence from Anand's side.

Anand was in high praise for the food.
Anand- Aunty !! This is the best Biryani I am having in my life. Its awesome. Its perfect. I want to take your hands and frame it as these hands are responsible for the best Biryani I ever had. And the kababs are just awesome. You put them in your mouth and they melt. I have not tasted kababs as good as these in my life. Salim !! you are so lucky to have such a loving and caring mother. She adds the ingredient of LOVE in the food which makes the food so awesome.

Salma was flattered with these compliments. No one had praised herself so much. Woman of any age are flattered when you compliment them about good work which they do all the time and Salma was no exception. She was bowled out with the heavy bowling of Compliments from Anand.

After the awesome food, Anand insisted that he would help Salma with washing of the dishes. Salma resisted but in vain.

Salma was impressed with Anand with the free and helpful nature of Anand. She has met someone like this for the first time in her life. She has served her family who had never complimented her as they thought that this was her responsibility. For the first time, someone showed some real concern and she felt immensely happy that day.

Anand stayed in the house for sometime and watched TV along with Salim and Salma noted that he was a cheerful and a happy guy. She felt bad when Anand had to leave but she could do nothing more.

Anand while leaving asked Salma '' When would I again have the privilage to have good food cooked by you Aunty. Now, After this food, I will have problems to adjust with the average food in the hostel.

Salma- Beta !! Whenever you like let me know. I will cook for you.
Salma wanted to meet Anand again but could not tell this directly to him. Instead she told Anand to take her mobile number and exchange his number too so that she can cook for him when Anand gets bored with the Hostel food.

Both of them shared their numbers and Anand parted with a smile saying ''Thank you Aunty !!''

Salma saw him mount his bike, put the helmet on and vanish in the road in a few minutes. She felt a sense of emptiness. She could not understand this new feeling. It has been ages when someone gave recognition to her as a woman and praised her work. But also she felt something deeper which she could not explain to herself.

She was impressed with Anand by his free spirited talk, his generous and pure smile, his helpful nature, his attitude to recognize and compliment hard work, his way of mixing with people fast ...Anand had left a deeper impression in Salma's mind which she cannot ignore.

Salma said to herself- Anand is of my son's age. I am old enough to be of his mother's age. Still I have strange feelings.. She tried to ignore thinking about Anand but his thoughts kept on hunting her.

Update-3

The next 10 days were very disturbing for Salma. Life went on as usual but she felt strange turbulence in her mind. She desired to see Anand but she lacked courage to contact him. She was a devout religious lady and she sorted to praying to God but still her desire to spend time with Anand was overwhelming.

She started remaining sad and morose. She asked her why she is so restless and her answer was she want to see and spend time with Anand. She lastly accepted in her mind that she is attracted to Anand and is falling for him.

She decided to message Anand and at least hear from him. At night after completing her household work she went to her room and decided to message Anand.

Salma to Anand- Hello Beta !! How are you.

She was scared and excited but to her dismay there was no answer from Anand. She was impatient and waited for 10 mins but in vain. She became sad and depressed and thought to give up her madness and go to sleep.

She had been half asleep when she heard a message sound on her mobile phone cutting through the silence of the night. She casually looked in her cellphone and saw a message from Anand. She was excited again and sprung up in her bed and turned on the night lamp.
Message exchange...

Anand- Hello Aunty !! I am fine. How are you. Long time no news from you. Are you annoyed !!
Salma- Oh Beta!! Nice to hear you are ok. I am good. Life is going as usual. I thought you would be busy and so did not wanted to disturb you. !!

Anand - Oh Aunty !! I am never busy for you !! You can call me/ message me anytime. I am available for you.

Salma felt very happy to hear see this messag.

Salma- Oh thats so nice of you. Nice to hear that. So what are you doing ??

Anand- Aunty !! I am in my bed planning to go to sleep but happy to speak with you. I missed your biryani a lot.

Salma- Come this weekend. I will cook biryani for you,.

Anand- Thank you aunty !!

Salma- So dont you feel lonely in this city staying all alone.

Anand- No aunty !! Earlier I felt lonely but now I am engrossed with my studies and I have Salim who is my best freind.

Salma- I also want to be your friend !! Obviously if you accept me.

Anand- I would be happy to have a friend who is such a good cook and such a nice person.

Salma was so happy to hear this compliment.

Salma- I am so happy to accept me as your friend. So your friend is inviting you to come for a treat of Biryani this weekend.
Anand- Aunty !! For Biryani... I can come now !!

Salma laughed hearing this message. After that she realized that it has been ages since she has laughed this long ans this freely. She was happy.

Salma- I want a pic of my new friend.

There was a hiatus of a 2 minutes. Salma felt that is she going too long. She repented about this message. Suddenly, a message sprung up and Salma got a JPG message.

She was excited. She opened the message and was excited to see the pic of Anand on his bike. He looked handsome and sweet and she loved his smile which is magical.

Another message came from Anand.

Anand- Now its your turn to send me your pic.

Salma- You are coming this weekend. See me live.

Anand- This is not fair. I kept my new friend's request and now you are not keeping my request.

Salma- Anand. Its not that. All my photos are with Burqa on. They are fully covered. So no point in sending my photo.

Anand- Oh.. Then send me a selfie.

Salma- I am not that equipped with today's phone. I am from an earlier generation. I do not know how to take a selfie.

Anand- Thats fine. I respect your frankness and will not force you. If you want, you can send me your burqa clad photo.

Salma- OK.. I will send some pics. Thanks for understanding.

And Salam sent some photos of her clad in Burqa.

A few seconds later message came from Anand.

Anand- All I can see is your eyes and I must confess that they are very beautiful and looks innocent. They are deep and hold a lot of emotions. You have suffered so much in life and your eyes harbour all these pains. I only wish that as your friend I can only make you happy..

Salma was emotionally moved. It has been a long time since anyone cared for her happiness. She was just a machine working day and night doing her duty to her family. Anand was the first person who touched this sensitive chord in her and she felt a strange sense of connection to Anand and felt happy.

Salma- Thank you so much Anand. I am deeply moved with this message. After Salim's father left me, I led a lonely life. No one cared for my feelings and you are the first person to recognize me as a woman and not a machine of Flesh and Blood,

Anand- You deserve all happiness Aunty. You are a beautiful person with a beautiful and innocent heart and you have all the rights to be happy in life

Salma was emotionally moved with this message. She felt that she has all the rights to be happy in life. She is alive and she has the rights to choose happiness in life.

Salma- Thanks a lot Anand. You make me feel special. Thanks for the lovely message.

Anand- Aunty !! From now on NO THANKS. I am your friend and so in Friendship there is no place for Thank you and sorry.

Salma- Wow Wonderful !! I will make note of this this. You have such a beautiful mind,. I guess your Girlfriend would be very happy with you.

Anand- Aunty !! I have no Girlfriend. I open up only to selected special people. I do not befriend every Tom, Dick and Harry.

Salma- So I am special for you ??

Anand- You connect with me so well and so you are my friend and so you are special..

Salma- Thanks. I take that as a compliment.

Seeing the watch Salma bid Anand good bye as the following day was a normal day and Anand had his college.

Update-4.

Salma was happy with the conversation and with the compliments and proper respect given by Anand to her. She felt excited that Anand is her new friend though he is of his son's age and is her son's best friend.

He felt lighter that she has found someone with whom she has shared her grief and emotions. She also felt happy about the praises that Anand gave to her. She liked the praise of Anand about her eyes. She turned on the mobile and kept on staring on Anand's pic which he had sent to her. He looked handsome and honest and this drew her close to him. Salma waited anxiously for the weekend as Anand was coming for lunch to her place. She started her preparations well in advance and sent Salim to the market for all the ingredients. She was all ready to welcome Anand whom she has started to admire secretly.

She did her pedicure and manicure regularly so that she would looked presentable and beautiful to Anand that day. She started staying happy which brought glow to her face. She was happy.

Update-5

The weekend finally arrived and Salma was happy from the morning. She was in a very good mood and seeing his mother happy Salim too was happy. After years he has seen his mother humming some Bollywood film song. Salma was waiting eagerly for Anand's arrival and as time came by she became excited.

She wore a bright saree and kept her hair open and did slight make up. She looked beautiful. Salam was average looking lady and cannot be termed gorgeous, But that day she was definitely looking beautiful. Around 1 pm she heard the door bell and her heartbeat was high.

She opened the door and there stood Anand in T shirt & Blue jeans. He looked good and smart. Seeing Salma, his first reaction was

Anand- Wow Aunty !! You look beautiful in this saree. Saree suits you very well. And I am very happy to see you.

Salma- Thank you so much. Please come in !!

Once inside the house, he met Salim who took him to his room to play video game which was new in the market and Salim was crazy for the game.

Salam got sad as she was not able to speak with Anand much. She went to the kitchen and started giving final touches to the food. As she was finishing the final touch to the food , she heard a voice behind her. She turned to see Anand there.

Anand- Aunty !! you really look beautiful today. Anything special ??

Salma- No beta !! just like that. I felt like wearing this saree. It was lying in the wardrobe for a long time.

Anand- You keep on wearing such sarees. You look great.

Salma- So whats up !! How was your week.

Anand- nothing special. Just plain college and plain food. As usual. But today.. I will feast on your lovely food.

Saying that he took out a gift and handed over to Salma.

Salma was surprised and said- What is this ?

Anand- A gift for you. I was coming for lunch and so I thought to bring a small gift for the lady who works so hard and gives her best every time.

Salma was happy and she exclaimed- What is it ??

Anand- Surprise. You open it and see for yourself.

Salma hurriedly open the gift and saw a beautiful ladies perfume bottle. The smell was intoxicating. She was very happy to receive a gift from someone whom she secretly admires. She was at a loss of words and sheepishly said "' Thank you so much''.

This small gesture from Anand has made Salma fall for Anand and now she felt very difficult to hide her feelings from him.

As usual the food was awesome and Anand kept on praising Salma for the mouth licking food which she had prepared with great dedication.

Salma has already fallen for Anand. Social norms was holding her tight to express herself to Anand and this constraint was making her a rebel.

She decided to gauge Anand's mind and thought it best to text him in the night as now Salim was there.

Anand spent some time with Salim playing video games and then he pushed off as he had a coaching class.

Salma was waiting for the night and around 11 pm, she sent a message to Anand.

Salma- Hello Anand !! How are you ? Whats up ?

After 5 mins Anand replied.

Anand- Hello Aunty !! I am fine. Thanks for the lovely food.

Salma- We are friends and so no thank you in friendship.

Anand- Noted Madam..

Salma- I applied the perfume. I just love the fragrance. This is awesome. How are you so good in knowing Ladies choices ?? Do you have a girlfriend.

Salma said all this in one breathe.

Anand- Aunty !! I felt that you would like this perfume and so I brought it. And I have no Girlfriend. Girls want guys to spend on them, take them out for dinner, to the movies, finance lots of shopping for them, take them to the Disco etc. I am from a middle class family ans I do not want to waste my father's hard earned money on these disloyal girls.

Salma- I am totally in agreement with you. But why do you say '' Disloyal'' girls

Anand- Having used one guy and sucking him financially, they go for hunting another guy and the process goes on. They are not serious for a relationship.

Salma- But why do girls behave in this strange way ??

Anand- After they finish college and go home, their parents would marry them off and then they would have to spend their lives on their husband's terms. So they are are enjoying life to the fullest.

Salma- IO feel pity for them.

Salma- So what kind of relationship are you interested in ??

Anand- I want someone who can understand and appreciate me and not run after my money. I am in the search for a genuine person.

Salma- Have you found that person ??

Anand- I think sort of ??

Salma 's heart sank as he heard this from Anand that he has found the girl he is looking for. She felt a sense of jealously for that unknown girl who has come in Anand's life.

Salma suddenly felt silent with grief and sorrow. Her hay days were shortly lived. She told herself that she has not got happiness and happiness in her life is short lived.

Seeing no message from Salma, Anand pinged her

Anand- Aunty !! All OK. you have sudeenly stopped messaging me.

Salma- Oh i was just cleaning my bed. Is your girlfriend from Pune.

Anand- Yes very much.

Salma- Is she beautiful.

Anand- She is beautiful but more so she has a beautiful mind and she is a good cook,

Salma- you told me that you are bored with hostel food and now you tell me that your girlfriend is a good cook. Why did you hide her from me.

Anand- I am still gauging her. Nothing is permanent as of now.

Salma- OK. Do you have a photo of her.

Anand- Yes.

Salma- If you do not mind , can you share her pic with me,

Anand- At this point she does not know that I admire her and so sharing the pic at this point would make little sense.

Salma- I am your new friend and you can share with me. I does not know her and I would not tell her too. You ca ntrust your friend Anand.

Anand- I trust you but hope you wont be angry.

Salma- Why would I be angry. If she is not beautiful or up to your mark, I will definitely tell you and caution you. Trust me.

There was a gap of 5 mins and Salma's heart was racing to see the female who has stolen him from her.

Also she was unhappy with losing someone whom she has started to adore and in this short while has to part with him.

After 5 mins, the message came with a ring.

Desperate with shaking hands, Salma opened the message and was shocked to see her pic with the burqa on. Only her eyes were protruding out. She could not believe her eyes. She could not decide whether she should laugh or cry. She was stunned and shocked.

She was in secret admiration for Anand and Anand too was in secret admiration for her. Fire was on both sides and each side was unaware.

Then a message came

Anand- I am extremely sorry if I have offended you. I saw in you a genuine , good person who has been ignored by society. I was in the search of a genuine person who would want me and not my materialistic possessions. And luckily I found you. I kept this feeling within myself and would had probably never have expressed to you but when you inquired about my girlfriend whom I admire, I felt that I should not deceive you and myself and I shared this pic. If you are hurt then please pardon me.

Salma had tears in her eyes. He was impressed by the genuine and straight acceptance by Anand and for this she had admired Anand. She also felt that she too should express her feelings to Anand.

Salma- Anand !! You are frank and straight forward guy. I have seen guys in my life and they are all selfish and double standard. I was looking for a genuine person with a genuine heart and I met you. From day 1 , I was impressed by you and fell for you but being your best friend's mother, I could not express my feelings to you. The other day, I dressed only to impress you. I will admit straight away that I love you without going round and round. I had a difficult life with my divorce with my ex husband and I found it difficult to trust men but in you I saw a genuine and caring person. What do you think about me.

Anand- Aunty !! I would love to have you in my life. And now since everything is known ... Yes I love you Aunty.

Salma- Anand !! now I am your girlfriend and your lover. Stop calling me Aunty and please call me by my name.

Anand- I am feeling shy. You are my best friend's mother and so...

Anand- Salma !! Girls dont interest me. They are not experienced and matured. I want a matured and caring l;over like you.

Salma- This affair wont be easy. Hurdle would be our families. You parents and my son !!

Anand- Let us explore each other and in due course let us face the world. This is genuine and we have to confront the world. Are you scared.

Salma- I am not afraid of the world. I would be ready to stand for the truth. Also we come from different faiths. We have to handle that issue as well.

Anand- Salma .. Dont worry. Lets give time and see how things shape up. But today i am feeling very relieved after expressing my feelings.

Salma- Same here Anand. Love you !!

Anand- Love you too Salma.

Salma- Go to bed Anand. U have college tomorrow.

Anand- Can i get my good night kiss.

Salma- Kiss should be real -person to person.. Over the phone.. does not make sense..

Update..

Salma was experiencing a new rejuvenated life as she is experiencing love for the first time. All her life she had been forced to accept the demands of other and now she wants to live life on her own terms. She kept staying happy, she kept glowing and she was happy beyond comprehension.

She wanted to share her enjoyment with her lover and she thought of resurrection of her youth. She wanted to do all the stuff she had missed in her youth. She knew she cant go out with Anand openly but she felt that with her hijab on no one can recognize her and she can spend time with Anamd.

She gave this proposal to Anand and he was happy to accept this as he too wanted to spend time with her.

Anand found her caring, loving and least demanding. He knew of girls in his college who want to pounce on rich guys and enjoy on their pocket money. He frankly did not like such girls and found Salma to be matured, loving, caring and adorable and adjusting.

Anand too wanted someone like this. In his growing years his parents were busy in their respective careers and Anand has been lonely and forlorn and now with a caring lover like Salma he felt happy though Salma is of his mother's age and she is the mother of his best friend Salim.

Salma draped herself in her Hijab and walked a few miles to the meeting point where Anand was waiting with is helmet on so that no one recognizes him and she came and sat on Anand's bike and she held Anand's shoulders for support.
