Chapter 2 - The Storm and the Company

I opened my eyes dazed from the sudden shock of an explosion that had knocked me out cold for minutes in the red colored mud. It was all mud and dust around me and I could slowly gain my senses back just to recall that there were other members of my family. I looked around to see slowly trying to get up from the semi swamped ground only to find that my family was nowhere to be seen. It was an energy blast that must have taken place a mile away had sent us off flying meters in the air. After recovering from the sudden shockwave that had blacked me out, I crawled my way through the mud until I saw another Knoll lying on the ground. It was bigger than me by a small fraction. My tentacles being smaller than they are now I tried to push it out of my way when it moved. It stood on its legs and then i realised that it was my brother. He was also lying there knocked out by the explosion. After rising from the moist ground he looked at me. Had he not risen after I had pushed him, he would have been my dinner, because we fed on anything that we could get our hands on. We would eat anything living or dead, though we had no brains back then so sometimes we would try to eat some rocks, sand, clay too but in the end we realized that it wasn't food. Though we were not hunters to prey on larger creatures, but small creatures or a carcass in our path was food. We were constantly in search of food and we would try to eat anything that was living or dead, still or walking. Everything looked food to us.
When my brother and I met we started moving further not knowing the fact that death had just passed by us and how lucky we were! We had moved only a few more metres ahead when another two combined explosions sent us flying further away followed by a massive sandstorm. Only this time we didn't pass out. Seeing this we immediately got on our feet and began to crawl away from the zone when another explosion wave hit us from a different direction. We were definitely in the kill zone. Shots after shots of shockwaves kept hitting us. Every time we rose to our feet we'd only see a red dust storm surrounding us and we would be hit by another Shockwave. It was in these moments when suddenly a hand grabbed me from behind and pulled me. I immediately turned my head to see and I saw her, Eroma.
Eroma was dressed in an all black Telnus armour with several guns fit on her body. She looked huge and dangerous with an enormous size. At the first sight of her, I thought of her as a delicious sumptuous meal but the problem was she was huge and I knew I can't overpower her. So I had to just lay in her grip and let her do whatever she was going to do to me. I thought I was doomed. I thought that this big creature running on two legs is going to eat me tonight, and that I have been hunted.
Yes... Hunted I was. But not for eating. I was instead being saved.
Eroma grabbed me in her right arm and held me by her waist and with a plasma shooting mini-gun in the other hand she started to run. She held me and ran and ran and ran through that dust keeping me close to her as if I was some treasure. If anything would come in her way then she would either topple it, stomp on it or just fire at it. She was just running like wild while holding me tight.
In that moment I noticed that we were not alone, there was another Norean running 10 yards behind us. She also wore the same armour and held a Hand-gun in her left hand and she had grabbed my brother by her side. Both females kept running through the dust, when suddenly a rocket flew by us and was likely to hit the ground about 30 yards ahead of us.
Eroma screamed - Watch out......!!
In that both the Noreans formed a large holographic shield in front of us and the explosion that followed did not even hurt us. That was some superb tech that saved us.
The other female - Let's go...!
And they started running.
The other female shouted - Left...!
Then we turned left and reached a small cavern. This cavern was just like other caverns, but was only lit and made into a temporary little hideout. The moment we reached that cave Eroma and the other woman stopped and she gently placed me only the ground. I was scared to death already, so I just lay there motionless and I did not even want to move. I was so scared that I didn't even care to look at where my brother was placed. Suddenly, I felt Eroma's hand gently caress me on my back trying to relax me but I stayed totally motionless. I was really that scared.
The other female - We need to report to the HQ about the situation here.
Eroma - No... That will take a lot of explaining to do... And we don't have that much time... And probably they may require us to stay on ground if they see it fit................ We can't stay.
The other female - So?? So what if they want us to stay??... Since when are you scared of a little fight Q1?
Eroma - Thea... You know I am never afraid of fighting... It's just that we stick to the plan... It's not safe for them (pointing to us) and we don't have enough firepower either.
Thea - Fine.
Thea, then, reports on her comms from her wrists while Eroma puts out a holographic projection of the area and starts to study it.
Thea - OK Black Eagle... This is Bravo... Reporting from point Indus... The package is obtained and we need to make it secure.
Black Eagle - Bravo.. This is Black Eagle. You need to pin yourself there for another 20 minutes. Charlie is still out there. Once they are out they will save you... Over.
Thea - And what about Alpha?
Black Eagle - Bravo.. Alpha is down. Over.
Thea - Nooooooo...!!!
Black Eagle - You need to stay calm NX3 and Q1. Charlie will be there in 20 mins and you will be reported at Point 84 which is 30 degrees to your North. We fill fetch the package and you from there. Over.
Thea - What happened to them.. How?
Black Eagle - Come back and it will be explained... Don't do anything.. Remember the package is a priority. Over
Eroma - Roger that.. Black Eagle. Bravo is over and out.
Comms end.
Eroma - Thea... You need to calm down ( Thea begins to cry).) I know Renga was like a son to you. But you need to calm down.
Thea sobs for a while and then speaks - You know 2 days back he showed me the first chapter he had written for his novel. He wanted to be a writer.
Thea starts to cry again.
Eroma - Listen Thea,, Renga was as much a son to me as he was to you. But right now.... We need to focus.. I need you to focus.. Or we will both be dead.. I need you to stay calm.
Thea cries and speaks - I told him not to come here.... We had a big argument but he wanted to join me on the field. I wanted him to stay on the comms but he was adamant and asked the Marla to put him on the front.
Eroma - I am sorry!
Thea - You know he wanted to write a story.... About you.! He never got the chance to tell you that.
Eroma - He was a good kid... Probably the best Chrosan... You had grown him up into a good creature.
Thea - Last night... After he told me that he was enrolled, I desperately wanted him to stay... I was resistant, and so I fed him. I thought that he would listen to me, but......
Eroma - I will just go inside and give you some space. They also need to be fed. Will you be okay?
Thea - why him?!! ( sobs)
Eroma - will you be okay.? (more assertiveness)
Thea continues to sob but nods.
Eroma held her shoulder for comfort and then leaves her. Eroma then picked me and my brother, and then proceeded to move further inside the cave.
After walking about a hundred yards inside the cave Eroma put us on the ground. She then placed her weapons on the ground too and then sitting beside us she tapped on the side of her calves to open a case in her suit. She then drew out a long flexible tube which seemed to end in a soft bulb on one end and a complex mechanised funnel on the other end with the broader end of the funnel facing outside.
She then pulled out the recorder on her gauntlet and let it fly on the side so that it could record what she was doing. The glove recorder turned into a tiny drone to fly out and then occupied a top corner in that part of the cave to record everything happening in there.
Then all of a sudden she tapped on a button in the centre of her belt. In another moment after tapping the button, her armour retracted in a small case located on her back. Underneath it she was wearing nothing and she sat there stark naked except for a few straps and bands on her torso which although being straps looked more like markings on her frontal body. These straps were probably there for the armour to slide on her body while manifesting. That was of course Norean armour back then. It was smart, it was self manifesting and it was one of the very-advanced ones, because it was Human-tech, it was a Telnus-620.
However, the best ones the humans kept for themselves. They are always so smart.
So............ There wasn't much on her torso to cover and she sat there with her large, heavy breasts in the open. Her arms, face and other body parts were still in the suit. There was light being produced by the armour with small-small bulbs fitted at certain points so there was a required amount of luminescence wherever required. Her body was gorgeous and she was glistening with sweat in that small light. Her body was that of a goddess. Her huge tight breasts were of the size of a large watermelon each. She, then, held the funnel end of the long tube and very casually placed it on her breasts where her large nipples were. Yes..., she had big nipples, as big as a ping-pong ball. They looked tight, erect and stood proud on her massive breasts ready to be sucked on by someone.
And the machine that she had put on her nipples was about to milk her. Today if you check about the Model S-77 milker then you will understand that back then it was one hell of a milker that came in a small size. It is nowadays used to suck a Shylan's fluids in training camps, and you all know how strong and resistant a Shylan is.
So she used the S-77 on her nipples, and the moment the S-77 sat on her nipples it immediately came to life and in a split second there was a vrooooommm sound like a motor revving hard. It instantly caused her to grit her teeth in a sudden electric pain and her head turned upwards to the roof of the cave and caused her to yield under the force of the suction pumps and she began to give milk. Then, after a few seconds of coping with that sudden pain she relaxed and looked down at me. Then she picked the other end of the tube and put it in my mouth. Suddenly a warm tasty fluid started to swarm my mouth and I started to suckle on the bulbous end of the hose. I started to enjoy the fluid and it was like elixir to me. I started enjoying it and kept on sucking more and more of it from the artificial nipple. Milk was flowing from her breasts through that hose and was reaching my mouth. I had never drank anything so tasty in my life and I was starting to become addicted to it. A few hours back I was scavenging the land for any food and now, here I was, enjoying the one of the tastiest nectars available.
Eroma, then, drew out another similar mystical hose from the left calf of her suit, and then repeated the same with her other nipple. Again the same machine, the same vrooommm, the same pain for her and the same reaction from her. Only, This time the hose was for my brother, who unlike me, hesitated to latch onto the nipple end of the tube. Eroma then grabbed her and gently shoved the tube into his mouth. She wanted him to drink her milk. Like me, he also then continued to enjoy the milk she was supplying to him.
Eroma - come on drink up... We don't have enough time.
We both started to feed ourselves off the fluid drawn out from her chest. It was like something that we had always wanted. We were having a meal of our dreams. So, we continued enjoying it.
After this, Eroma stood up and looked at the camera. Noticing that she was being recorded.
Eroma - Record #371.. The package is being fed. The package was not skin touched. However, they look OK to me.
She then started to move around the cave to check out how further deep it was. The hoses were very long and elastic allowing her to cover a long distance inside without cutting the supply of her milk. After walking a few meters further She started her comms.
Eroma - NX3.. Come in... How are you now?
Thea - This is NX3. I am OK... Over.
Eroma - Good... Coz Now I need you to get inside and check the insides of this cave. It goes quite deep. I need you to scout this place.
Thea sobs - yeah.. Ummm.. (sobs).. Yeah.. I am coming.
Eroma - listen Thea... I know It's been a heavy loss for you today. But you know.. We can't give up on this mission.
Thea - Yeah... Colonel... I know... Huh... I know.. I will be there in a minute.
Eroma - Yeah.. Now come'ere. Over and out.
Eroma couldn't go any further because that was as much as the hoses' length allowed her to move. So, she returned to us. A minute later Thea arrived there. Her visor was on but it was clear that she had cried a lot which was quite evident in her voice.
Thea - I see that you started to feed mine also.
Eroma - You needed some time.
Thea - I don't need anything. You can give him to me.
Eroma - No need. I can feed him. I need you to go inside and see how far it goes. Can it be added to another point? We need a spot in this territory too.
Thea - yes... Ma'am.
Thea begins to move in.
Eroma - remmeber to report back. If you see anything report back. If it is hostile, you turn back. If you find any enemy you turn back... Do not engage. Do you get it?
Thea - Yes Ma'am...!!
Eroma - Now go... Sergeant.
Thea goes in.
While Eroma keeps feeding us and waits on for her teammate, she keeps scrolling through the holographic projection of the map. She looked tensed up for it felt like eternity to her to wait on for our rescuers. It had only been 5 minutes since Thea walked in when suddenly a red dot starts to beep on Eroma's wrist.
Eroma - This is Q1.. Come in.
Black Eagle - This is Black Eagle. Bravo Team... You need to get out of there.. Now.. Charlie is down. BL hounds have been released for you.
Eroma - The what? Charlie?
Black Eagle - You need to get out of there now... That place is now in the kill zone. Get out of there... Now.
Eroma - Hounds? Where?
Black Eagle - From your South-west. They have a big number. You need to run to your North to Point 84.
Thea in the meanwhile comes back running listening to all the conversation. She was aghast to learn about the fall of Charlie team too.
Eroma was stunned - So this was a trap. (Eroma shuts her comms)
Thea - What the hell!
Eroma starts watching for the location of Point 84 on her map.
Thea then immediately draws back the hoses from my mouth and my brother's. She pulled back the suction cups away from Eroma's nipples.
Eroma screeches in pain - yyyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh. (She closed her eyes while screaming.)
The moment the suction cups come off her nipples, the entire suction system retracts back into a coil shape and forms a compact design. Thea then throws it back towards Eroma's calves and it is automatically caught by the magnets and smart system of the suit. In another second both the suction systems are back into their respective casings in the calves of the suit. This Entire act took 3-4 seconds.
While the suction cups were off of Eroma's engorged nipples she was still leaking milk out of her big breasts. Milk was coming out in thick fountains out of her, and she didn't much care about it.
Eroma was still looking at the map, while milk still kept running out of her.
Eroma after noticing point 84 - That's too far. We will never make it.
Thea - Let's go... Q1. (Thea taps and Eroma's belt and Eroma's Armour comes back on in a second)
They picked us up and then started to run out of that cave. After coming out, the rush towards the North started. I was in Eroma's arms and the other one was in Thea's. Eroma looked back and there were many growling voices coming from a distance.
Eroma - Hurry up!!
The drone camera was flying ahead of us showing us the path in the red storm that faced us. They ran, they stomped, they leaped. Their suits did not have a strong enough propulsion system to fly them out, except for a few hundred metres. The growling voices were drawing closer. The women were swift but they were nowhere as fast as a BL hound.
BL hounds were hunters and they were fast runners. They hunted in groups. But if tamed, they could be used as weapons because they are dangerous, they are tough and they are smart also. An army of tamed BL hounds was once used against the Shylans by the Zanozians in the battle of Domino Valley. Shylans lost that battle. You know what the Zanozians' hounds did to those Shylans after the battle. The deadp ones were raped and eaten, while the alive ones were raped repeatedly daily until they died and then later eaten. Only a few could be rescued who told the world about the ordeal, about the truth of the BL hounds and the brutality of the Zanozians. It is still known to Shylans as a huge embarrassment. They call it the Shylan shame.
So, the BL hounds were after us. There was no chance that we were going to outrun them.
Thea yells - They are coming closer.
Eroma - I know... Just keep running.
Thea - We can't outrun them. We can never reach Point 84.
Eroma - no,..... We can't
Thea - So why are we running.. Let's fight them
Eroma - Nooooooo.... we just need to reach the bridge.
Thea - What?
Eroma - It's just two and a half miles away. We need to cross it. I have set it on the map.
Thea - Gotcha..
Then they both focused their eyes on the path drawn out by the drone camera. They kept running and running, taking longer leaps and forcing boosters whenever possible, when suddenly Eroma yelled.
Eroma - There it is. (The bridge was ahead of us at the end of the cliff where the ground ended)
Thea looked back and saw one big hound very close. It was very close and was several hundred metres ahead of its pack. It looked exactly like a Terran wolf only more aggressive, more blood thirsty and a lot bigger than a wolf. It had death in its eyes like a zombie. The bridge was about a few yards away.
Eroma looked back and saw the hound jump towards Thea from behind.
Eroma yelled - Watch out...!!
Thea noticed that and suddenly stopped causing the hound to fall ahead of her in an imperfect landing and toppling itself close to the end of the cliff. Thea threw my brother towards Eroma. Eroma automatically grabbed him mid air and hurried towards the bridge. She ran through the delicate bridge which was already half a mile long. There was firing sounds that could be heard from behind which was because Thea had started firing at the hound. There was a skirmish happening behind us while Eroma was struggling to keep her foot steady on the bridge in every step she took because the bridge was delicate and shaky. The bridge was swimming to and fro in the storm as it had no pillar beneath. Eroma somehow managed to reach the end of the bridge to a safer ground and instantly turned to look back only to notice Thea lying on the ground against her back with the BL hound pinning her down. Thea's helmet was gone. Keeping us down Eroma pulls out her rifle from behind. Eroma was somehow able to see what's happening on the other end in that storm. She aimed right at the huge dog but she abruptly missed her balance and misfired. Thea had the hounds forelegs in her hands and her own legs against its chest. The hound was pressing her down trying to reach down on her face to bite her. Its drool falling on her face while she struggled to keep it at bay. The shot fired by Eroma from the other end also flew past them by a meter's gap. When the hound was about to bite Thea's face off, it suddenly screamed in pain and retreated its head away. This time the shot had hit it on the back. It couldn't bear that pain and seeing this window Thea suddenly used all her strength to push the hound back using her legs. It fell back in pain. In another second Thea stood up on the ground. There were more howls and growls drawing closer. The moment Thea stood up, the hound tried to jump back on to Thea and attacked her. Only this time Thea used her Taekwondo training to kick the BL hound across its jaw and it fell back close to the ledge suddenly stunned, because of the heavy metallic kick across its face. It was about to shake off that sudden jerk but that was enough for Thea to use her small blaster gun to destroy the beast that sent it flying off the ledge causing it to fall deep in that fault.
All of this had happened in just 10-15 seconds after we had reached the ground.
But it was not over, more zombie dogs were now visible so Thea used all her might to run across that bridge. Eroma also noticed that and immediately shot one hound down from across the gap. The hounds, as they drew nearer couldn't clearly see the ground beneath them end and another 5 or 6 hounds just fell off the cliff wasting their own lives, while Eroma tried to keep shooting down the ones that were attempting the embark on the bridge to chase Thea. But still one hound managed to escape the bullet and ran behind Thea but soon lost footing and fell sideways into the gap. Another dog followed Thea but now with a better traction but only to be shot down by Eroma. But the next hound was chasing her well without getting shot at and without missing any footing.
Thea understood that the ground was close so she began to yell.
Thea shouts - Destroy it.. Destroy it... Now.. Now.. Now.
Eroma saw Thea's signal while she had still not crossed the bridge.
Thea - Shoot it down nnnnnnoooooowwww..
There were more hounds now chasing Thea on the bridge. Soon, There were too many hounds for Eroma to shoot down, so she listened to Thea and switched her rifle to blast setting and aimed at the near end of the bridge.
Thea - Now.... Now... Now.
Eroma shot the end of the bridge although Thea had still not reached the ground. The delicate swinging bridge came off instantly and collapsed. The bridge beneath Thea gave way while she was still 25 to 30 yards away from the ground so she jumped towards the ground and deployed her thrusters in the suit causing her to be rocketed towards the end of the cliff. Thea had landed on the ground and dropped to her knees. Eroma looked at the hounds and watched on as they all began falling into the gap. The remaining ones growled and gritted from the opposite end of the cliff but were no longer any threat. Everyone was safe and they had made it.
