She was shocked.

I was with her and I argued with the staff saying it's his wife and child.

When she came, I got up and pulled the chair for her.

She thanked me and sat down.

"I'm vegetarian." She said,

"Oh, no! You can't be."

"What? What have you ordered?"

"Chilly chicken and butter roti."

"Ayyo! I don't eat that stuff... No"

"No, we can't cancel our order. You'll have to eat.."

"Oh my God. We should ask them at least.."

"Shopping! Oh, we couldn't buy even a single item. Karthik had fallen down just climbing the entry stairs of the mall."

I gestured to all of her. She looked at herself once. Her sari was a complete mess.

She shook her head sideways. "I don't really know."

The bill had arrived. I paid for it and we walked out.

There were no taxis available there. I hired an auto rickshaw. I asked him to take us for a boarding.

"A good, standard one." I mentioned.

I saw her smiling for nothing.
