Another stupendous show from the Universe Boss. While he did show unusual patience against the spinners, he showed his typical flair against the quicks with a fine display of powerhitting. Having said that, he would have gone for a duck if RCB had reviewed that LBW off the fifth ball of the innings. They didn't and the big man heaped on the misery. At the same time, the visitors did well to pull things back after the kind of Powerplay KXIP got. Gayle wanted to bat through and didn't attack the spinners while his partners couldn't force the pace either. Chahal and Moeen bowled beautifully for RCB, choking the scoring rate in the middle overs. Gayle did up the ante a bit at the death but 51 runs off the last five overs is something RCB would have taken after the platform that was laid earlier for Kings XI.
