Query about old xossip

1.Xossip band ho chuki hai.
2.Reason simple hai server bill bharne ke liye godfather ke paas paisa nahi tha.
3. 5 saal ho chuke hai xp ko band huye ab fund deke kya fayda
4. And most importantly XForum = New Xossip as xp ke bahut se bande aapko yahi milenge. Aur xp uske logo se tha jinme mai bhi tha.

• Old XP was shut down due to Server maintenance cost.
• Ad revenues came down but Server costs kept increasing.
• Donations couldn't even take care of costs of a week or so.
• So after much deliberation GF decided to shut it down.

Myself and one another Co-admin & SUMO tried to pitch in together and run it. But we couldn't reach even 50% of the required amount to keep the site running for one year. The domain name rights is still with GF. Old data and dumps are still maintained in offline servers and whole N-TBs of data of XP, Pzy are still intact without loss.
If you ask me an estimate of how much it's seven zeros' to get it up and running with one year maintenance. After that it should be run with advertising costs and other revenues. Potentially good business but heavy investment costs.
To get it up and running is not a simple task as anyone would know XP was among top 10 in the Big boards list. (Ranking of Forums).

XF is in line with old XP. So enjoy the stay and make it big. Keep donating so that Admins' are able to cover their expense and maintain it without hassle.

Xossip site bahut badhiya thi . Lekin uske achanak band hone ka kabhi reason kisi ne diya nahi tha . To adirishi ke itne se jawab se bhi santusht hun mai ... Lekin siraj bhai aap sarvgyata hai ... Baaki kuch reh gaya ho to baat aage badha sakte hai

It was not shut down suddenly. For over six months GF was putting on threads and announcements on site front-page telling the date of shutdown if donations/revenues are not coming in to meet the server cost.

Prior to public Announcement about selling/closing xossip, UG me Mod level tak koi charcha nahi ki gyi thi na hi koi information di gayi thi
Jub public announcement hone k baad humne puchha ki aisa kyu kiya jaa raha hai to bataya gaya ki Godpa xossip chala rahe the aur ab vo retirement chahte hain aur wahi owner hain
Kitne ki bechna hai ye bhi Public ya UG me disclose nahi kiya gaya tha bus itna bataya tha ki offer site ki actual keemat se kafi kam hai Itni keemat me bechne se achha hai site band hi rahe
Even shutdown hone k baad bhi buying ki option khula tha par I think price 4+ crore hi raha hoga, 1 crore k andar hota to shayad zaroor xf wale kharid lete

Usne hi XP banaya tha

Only the domain name was changed GF and the Co-admin team was there right from beginning. Only one of the co-admin left but was supporting behind the scenes due to personal life and commitments. Rest of the team was there till end.
