Chapter 5 : Good Bye
Hiren needed time to process what just happened. He slowly started walking. "Hiren, we need to talk" she said loudly enough for him to listen. "No we don't" he said and paced towards building lift. She knew he is soft hearted and this was definitely a lot to take in. "Shreya, I thought you guys were divorced" The officer who joined few months ago, told her as he heard few things about her by peers.
Shreya pouted in anger, rolled her eyes towards the officer. "Why don't you fucking announce my life story to everyone..with microphone in hand. Maybe put that on bill board.." she looked pissed, she started walking towards Hiren who disappeared few minutes ago.
She took few steps but officer stopped him. "Shreya.. You have to come to police station, we need you for some paperwork" officer said hesitantly. Shreya stopped walking, once again its work that has caused her ciaos.
The jeep was right there besides him, Shreya sat on front seat as officer started engine. She knew Karan was seated in back seat. She just completely ignored him. She didn't even wanted glimpse of him. The jeep moved closer to police station.
"He didn't deserve it" Karan said from the back seat, as he referred to what just happened with Hiren. She boiled as his words felt in her ears. She looked furious, Karan was about to hear one long lecture as she turned towards him. Just to see the man who sat besides him threw a deadly punch on his face. "Not single word, until I say differently" Ronak said who sat next to him.
Her angry look was melted, she desperately need someone like Ronak who was wise and understood things better. He smiled a little as he saw him. "Ronak.." She was about to say something but Ronak interrupted her. "You too, not a single word" She sat back at front seat. "Why everybody is shutting me up today" She said as she seem frustrated.
She crossed her arms and just looked out side the window silently. She messaged Hiren, but there was no replies. She thought, things will go back to normal when she will talk to him. The situation was conflicted, whether she would be celebrating the successful manhunt of monster who sat behind her. The justice she brought for her best friend or feel sad about the current situation about Hiren.

2 years ago…
One convertible car rushed towards entrance of the city as the road was empty surrounded by farms and absolute greenery. She hummed to Her favorite song as she looked outside the window, sunglasses suited her beautiful face. The round hat looked even cuter. Her face shined with sun light as the roof was open.
"I am turning in my resignation latter tomorrow.." She said to her husband as they were coming back from lovely honeymoon. "I don't like these conflicts, I would like to start my creative career. Arts and writing uhhh" she said as she enjoyed even thought of it. She said loudly as the music and air provided resistance.
"Shreya, you don’t have to do that because of us. We can still keep this as secret" Her husband looked handsome and well built as he said in his firm voice. He gave devilish vibes, like one could go to any level to achieve what he wanted. He worked together with her on missions and he was granted promotion just before their honeymoon.
"I don’t want these job anyway, and I will be visiting my parents after handing over latter tomorrow morning so will be gone tomorrow, do you want to come meet them? " She asked and hoped he would come along. It will be nice having dinner together with family.
"Nah..i am good. Also promotions brings a lot of work you know. New mystery to uncover…maybe some killer to catch" he laughed about it. They reached home and Next morning She got ready, with bright smile on face. She grabbed her purse and left the house as she gave him good morning kiss.
She every time walked few meters then took texy, when she visited organization office. Just to stay clear. She walked and she hurried. Her phone ranged she picked it up "Hello Ronak good morning". Ronak called from organization the one who had a crush on her but felt that he was bit old for her. And dealt with his feelings before it took over him."you could have just mailed me the latter" he said.
"No no..and also I want to visit the office for the last time" she seemed excited as well as nervous. She stopped as she realized she left the letter on table at home. She rushed back towards home as she hanged up the phone. She knocked on the door, she saw female footwear outside the door which seemed weird. She knocked four times continuously out of habit. She sensed something wrong. She took key from her purse and door clicked open.
Her phone ranged which was silent from the last night. It said Neha was calling. She ignored her as she was in middle of serious stuff.
She rushed to bedroom and saw her husband kissed some girl. As he saw her, he panicked. She rushed outside the house. Her husband followed her, drop of tear popped from her eyes as she walked out of the house. She sat her hand on her mouth as she controlled her emotions. Her husband ran behind her as she got into lift. And continuously pressed lift button to close the door. The door closed in slow motion and she didn’t wanted to see his face. As he came into frame just when the lift door got closed.

Shreya completed paper work and left for Hiren's house. Ronak stayed there as he wanted some insights on Karan and some interrogation was scheduled.
She knocked on the door four times out of habit. The door clicked and Hiren stood there inside the house. She gave him smile but not a single skin cell dared to move on Hiren's face. "Can I come in?" she asked as he stood right in front of her. He walked back to his couch and sat there. Shreya came in and sat besides him.
"Hiren please, talk to me" She said as he sat there silently.
She explained all about suicide and whatever happened from first day at library and about their organizations NO DATING people involved in operation rule. He listened to her and looked calmed. "See Ne…Shreya..i appreciate your work and things you do for country and society but that does not give you free pass to do what you just did with me" he said in low voice. "Hiren, I could have stopped seeing you from the day I got info about karan, but I didn't.. this is real…"she said as she got emotional. She knew there was no explanation to what she did.
"I don't see…" he said slowly "we together" pointing towards each other "Any more…" he stood up. "GOOD BYE it is" he said and sighed. She looked desperate to hug him and she wanted to take care of him as he was going through tough time. She walked outside the house. She wanted him to follow her and stop her. Drop of tear popped from her eyes as the door behind him closed. She sat her hand on her mouth as she controlled her emotions. She wished he would ran behind her and stop her. She got into lift. The door closed in slow motion and she wanted to see his face. As the door got closed she broke down.
