Harish Salve was the lawyer.. he ain't losing anything, it was already known that both of them will we on the winning side.
I wish we can say with same certainty about 'our' Cricket team. BCCI has once famously said that it is the ' BCCI's team' and not Indian Cricket team. Another thought just crossed my mind, can Mr. Salve, who always wins, not join our team as super coach, or consultant -in- chief or mascot or any such thing. It will ensure win and anyways his father headed BCCI (1982-1985) and during his tenure India won the world cup first time (1983). There is a challenger trophy named after him, NKP SALVE trophy.

Haha. Court cases & cricket.. I wish they would've been similar. I don't think that the Indian Cricket Team's chances could be increased in any way. Most of the players are really weak when it comes to handling pressure of big games like a knockout.

Plus, Indian Cricket System is so much obsessed with doing justice to individuals rather than the team. In such scenarios, only a player having all the luck and form on his side, could take the team over the line...

You hit the nail on the head,... the problem is the STAGE, we judge a player by his IPL performance, and by that performance they earn money. In IPL 2022 Bhuvi kept his reserve price at 2 Cr and was purchased for 4.2 cr. Avesh Khan got 10 cr and Deepak Chaar got 14. Now on the world stage, there is huge difference and we in all the forums and groups keep our hottest accolades for them, but when it comes to a global competition, they behave like deer in headlights. Second issue is consistency.

what i meant was from Group 2 where India as said in post will have a fight with PAK, SA and W. Indies, presuming other two matches will be a cake walk.
Match against south Africa would be tough as they have similar type of pitch too .. westindies, Pakistan and Bangladesh is unpredictable type teams they can do anything on their day ... So indian team should be careful against all

Bumrah and pandya will enjoy Australian bouncy pitches

South Africa will be the surprise package in this tournament. Plus, Pakistan's dilemma in team selection might help India's chances. Windies, have left out Russell & Narine, so I don't think they've any chance...

IPL should be counted as “International's Preparation League”.. Playing in front of large no. of crowd & against quality players gives exposure but taking IPL as selection stage is the biggest foolishness of the selection committee.

Again, in IPL, it's simple economics of demand & supply. Hype is another factor. Prime example is Odean Smith, hit a couple of sixes against India prior to auction and got sold in crores...

Yes you are right ipl only teaches newbies how to handle pressure and selection should be not on the basis of ipl performance specially while touring away.

I think some Indian players should play BBL or south Africa premier league too to be familiar with their conditions. It would help them in away tours or icc's multi-team events.

earlier we judge players base on our domestic cricket that's why we are getting success.
now we judge players base on our IPL performance and result is in-front of us.

Lakin BCCI aisa kabhi karne ke liye permission hi nahi dega. Quoi agar aisa hua aur indian players un leagues me khelenge. Aise situation me india me baithe log us league ko bhi dekhna suru kar denge. Aur aise situation me IPL ka craze kam ho jayega. Aur jitna paise ye isase abhi earn kar rahe hai wo kam ho jayega. Aur BCCI aisa kabhi bhi nahi hone degi. To is baat ko to bhool hi jao bhai.
Aaj ke time me bhi agr kisi ko in leagues me khelna hai to use indian international cricket se retirement lene padta hai.

but BCCI will not permit them as they are ' bonded ' to BCCI, even thinking, or expressing desire will lead to boycott, we all know what happened to ICL. There is no competition commission or regulation for them. and now they freely permit Dream 11 (even sponsors events) and the like, cricketers are happy with the money (advertisements, IPL and sponsors), we the viewers are lured by the enthusiasm drummed up by media channels and social media, and with money can we keep politicians and businessmen away? Yesterday, Justice (Retd) Lodha, who headed the committee said that 'weather has changed.'
