The problem is none of the Indian bowlers can bat and T 20 requires more all-rounder or bowler who can bat a bit and batsmen who can bowl. Even in ODI. Remember Sachin was a go to bowler, and match against S, Africa ad even the world cup India won (ODI) Kohli has bowled. Even rohit used to bowl but now all of them are pure batsmen and a bowler has to bowl only 4 overs . so 6th bowler is required if one bowler fails. so it has to be 3 pace , 1 spin a pace all-rounder and one spin all-rounder. Yes they will have to select four pacer in the team but in the final 11, it should be 3 pace, one spin and two all-rounder. More than that batting balance will be an issue. They may open with Pant or SKY , creating a slot for DK in the middle and dropping KL.

Asia cup ke baad Australia aur south Africa se bhi 3 - 3 t20 khelne Hain so door for world cup hasn't closed yet

The problem is with the selectors, they selected three fast, three spin and two all-rounders. Now with Jadeja being a certainty, no body will pick up 2nd spinner what to say of third, so it will be Ashwin/ Chahal/ Bishnoi, only one. Now Hardik is an all-rounder and more importantly his work load will have to be managed as the real target is T 20 world cup.so we are left with three selected pacers. Shardul will come only in case of injury . If the team composition is going to be, 3 pacers, 1 spinner 2 all -rounder ( 1 pace, 1 spin ) so what was the need to select equal number of pacers and spinners ?
